Who is Claudia Ehler

Meet Claudia

With over 20 years of personal yoga and movement practice, I enjoy teaching and sharing what I know and practice myself. A certified yoga teacher with Yoga Alliance since 2016, I share my love for this gentle, intuitive form of Hatha yoga which is primarily inspired by the teachings of the late Vanda Scaravelli.

Having met and worked with Diane Long in 2014 and soon after Sandra Sabatini, two of Vanda’s long-standing students, has led me on a new path of discovery, using breath and gravity to release the spine and energise the body bringing about a greater sense of harmony and ease.

I was immediately drawn to the beauty and mystery of this intuitive ‘whole body’ practice and sought out other teachers who worked in similar ways.

Further Studies

Over the past 7 years I’ve been studying extensively with Bill Wood to further explore my practice and understanding.

My yoga buddy Sally Wall and I then took a two year ‘pilgrimage’ across the UK working with as many like-minded teachers we could find. Gleaning valuable insights from the likes of John Stirk, Pete Blackaby, Caroline Reid, Louise Simmons and Marc Aquaviva. The learning, understanding and knowing deepens.

I also draw inspiration from my experience as a trained body worker and holistic therapist.

Furthermore, I support elderly people living with dementia and love creating a safe, nurturing space without any judgement, whether I’m with a group or one to one.

Away from the mat I enjoy dancing Argentine Tango, trips home to the Baltic Sea and the experience of live music concerts.

About Claudia

All about Claudia and her approach to Yoga.

“I am 70 with a replacement hip. I wasn’t at all sure if I would be able to do yoga.
Claudia’s style of teaching is lovely, very inclusive and encourages you to do the best that you can at the time. Claudia suggests different ways of approaching the moves if she can see that you are struggling. I thoroughly enjoy it.

Meditation is completely new to me. Learning to be with each breath instead of listening to the constant background of thoughts is very calming. Afterwards I feel serene and also full of energy.”
